• Proper golf attire is required. Acceptable clothing includes golf slacks, skirts, dresses, capris or golf shorts (no shorter than mid-thigh) and collared or sleeved golf shirts. Denim, sweatpants, gym or tennis shorts, cargo shorts, and other athletic wear are not allowed.
• The Bootlegger course is a more relaxed atmosphere. T-shirts are allowed and many of our guests play barefoot.
• The clubhouse and dining facilities feature a casual atmosphere.
• The clubhouse and restaurant feature a casual atmosphere.

• Each player is required to have his/her own set of golf clubs.
• The speed of your round is monitored by the first tee host and player service staff. Forest Dunes should not take longer than 4 hours 30 minutes to play 18 holes. A player assistant will caution all groups that fall out of position a maximum of two times. A third violation will result in the group being required to stop play and move to a position on the course determined by the player assistant or expulsion of play.
• Guests assume responsibility for any damage to a Golf Cart that may occur while in their possession. A valid driver’s license is required to rent and operate a Golf Cart.

Smoking is prohibited in all Forest Dunes buildings, including the clubhouse, Lake AuSable Lodge, cottages, villas and other service buildings. This policy includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes, vaping, marijuana and all oral tobaccos. Lodging guests will be charged a penalty/cleaning fee for violating this policy.

Guests may not bring their own alcohol onto the Forest Dunes courses, clubhouse or patio. A guest who violates this policy will be subject to removal from the property and/or have the cooler and the contents confiscated and returned to them upon departure from the club.

When a round of golf is interrupted due to weather conditions, the guest may receive a rain check. The guests may not receive any sort of cash or credit card refund for this round of golf. Rain checks will be issued according to the number of completed holes as determined by the golf shop staff.

• Our tee time cancellation policy requires seven days advance notice to cancel a round of golf without penalty.
• A credit card number is required to reserve a tee time, but the card is not charged at the time the reservation is made.
• In the event of a no-show, the card will be charged for the total number of rounds booked. For a short-show (booked for eight players and only seven golf) the card will be charged for the number of rounds shy of the booked total.
• Rain is not grounds for cancellation unless the golf course officially closes.
• By securing a tee time with a credit card, golfer agrees to cancelation policy.
• Groups of 24 or more golfers who are not staying on property may be required to sign a group golf contract.

• A deposit is required for all stay & play lodging reservations. The deposit amount equals $200 per player.
• The deposit is fully refundable up to 60 days prior to arrival date.  Inside of 30 days the guest will be responsible for lodging amount in full.
• The golf rounds of a stay & play are subject to the same standard golf cancelation policy – no penalty for tee times canceled at least seven days in advance.
• By securing a reservation with a credit card, golfer agrees to the lodging cancelation policy.

• For dining parties of eight or more guests, an automatic 22 percent service charge will be added to the bill. The charge is distributed to both our service and culinary teams. If service exceeded expectations, guests have an opportunity to provide additional gratuity for their server.

Pets are prohibited in all Forest Dunes lodging accommodations and the clubhouse.
